Winds of Change

BelliranER

I have been waiting for your eyes to notice my gaze,
For you to look deep inside and navigate your inner maze.
I am not the wisdom you are searching for,
I am here to remind you to look deep into your core.

Winds of Change are whistling in the air,
Calling out your name — they have always heard your prayer.
You have never seen it, yet have always felt the gust —
Will you spread your wings in one last leap of trust?

They have felt your pain, they have listened to your heart,
You have been praying for years — for a new path to chart.
Deep inside you have always known,
Trust the wind once again, and it might carry you back home.

The following text does not explain the work.

It reflects what shaped it.

Winds of Change marks the beginning of Phase 3 of Continuum—the moment when the journey begins to move beyond questioning and toward rebuilding.

At its center is a white owl gliding low above a windswept field. At first glance, it appears to be the protagonist of the composition. Its wings dominate the canvas, its gaze immediately meets our own, and every visual element seems to lead toward it.

This impression is intentionally deceptive.

The owl is not the protagonist.

The viewer is.

Rather than presenting itself as the source of wisdom, the owl functions as a catalyst. Through its direct and almost confrontational gaze, it quietly redirects our attention inward, inviting us to recognize that the wisdom we seek has never belonged to the owl. It has always existed within ourselves.

Only after this inward recognition does the second movement of the work emerge.

The owl does not fight the wind.

It trusts it.

Its effortless flight becomes a metaphor for a renewed willingness to trust—not only ourselves and the wisdom we carry, but also life itself, nature, the universe, God, or whatever unseen force each of us believes guides our path. The invisible wind becomes visible only through what it moves: the owl that glides upon it and the grass that bends beneath it.

For me personally, this symbolism also reflects my renewed trust in God and my return to believing in His plan for my life. Yet this meaning is intentionally left open, allowing every viewer to discover their own understanding of what the wind represents.

The owl flies deliberately close to the earth. Here, wisdom does not distance us from reality; it grounds us within it. It reminds us that genuine growth is not found by escaping life, but by becoming more deeply aligned with it.

Within Continuum, Winds of Change follows My Essence, the threshold between Phases 2 and 3. After a long journey of searching, questioning, and confronting the self, it becomes the first quiet step forward.

Not because every answer has been found.

Not because suffering has disappeared.

But because something far more fundamental has returned:

the willingness to trust again.

To trust the wisdom already within us.

To trust ourselves enough to spread our wings.

And to trust the unseen wind enough to let it carry us toward home.
